Teacher and colleague

Created by Craig 11 months ago

I had the immense pleasure of both being taught by Prof as an undergraduate and over the past decade working with him in my role as Lead for Year 3 of the Dental Programme. I still my anatomy drawings that i copied as an undergrad, and use them as a blueprint for my daily teaching to help our current undergraduates relate Anatomy to Dentistry. Without these skilled drawings imprinted in my head it would be difficult to relate my understanding to our current students. There was always a story to go along with each teaching episode that we all remembered and related to the class!

He was an rock of support as a colleague helping, guiding and always a great font of knowledge whilst we continued to build on previous years teaching and assessment to help improve the joint courses we ran.

More than his contribution to education, was his contribution as a man - a kind, gentle soul who always made time for you as an individual. He legacy will long live on in the memories of past students and staff and his contribution cannot be underestimated.

RIP Stuart, taken far too soon
